Online Learning Materials

As part of our training we offer online access to learning materials to our students through PBWorks. You will receive an invite to the workspace via email relating to your course shortly before or as your course starts.

If you have never used PBWorks before, you will need to create an account prior to being able to access materials. If this is the case, when you click the link in your email you will be asked to create an account, just put in your name and a password of your choosing to continue. PLEASE NOTE: Do not forget this password, as you will need it as well as your email address in order to log into the account in future. CTA cannot reset your password or recover your account for you.

In order to help new students to understand this process, CTA has created a tutorial video on how to access PBWorks for the first time:

Student Fees Schedule

Administration Fees:

Apply to courses provided by Community Training Australia Pty Ltd (CTA) for courses run in conjunction with TAFEs', ordinarily referred to as the 'Enrolment Fee'.

NOTE: the administration fee is not payable to TAFE, Community Training Australia Pty Ltd provides the program on behalf of TAFE(s).

Tuition Fees:

Either expressed as a total Fee For Service (FFS) price, or set as a price per module depending on the offering. Some courses are subsidised through State or offset Government funding arrangements, student information including brochures will provide details of availability as it applies to each course intake.

Book Fees:

Recommended readings are part of any course or program delivered by CTA, however for the most part students are responsible to purchase or obtain these resources through book stores or at the local library. Where purchasing resources is required for the course, enrolling students will be notified through the course information in each brochure.

For more information and how fees apply to each course, please contact the course coordinator.

Computer Use

To assist our students we provide computers with internet access which will assist you when working through assessments and group projects together within class time.

After Block Training Support

Many of CTA programs are run in Block mode/ flexible delivery, this allows enrolled students to access training and complete within a shorter time period over 'traditional' classroom only training.

Block mode training allows students to study at home then come to Block training (usually 2-4 blocks) to complete group based activities, and complete assessments. Throughout the period of enrolment including after block training, students have access to telephone and email support from the course trainer. Between blocks students will receive back marked assessments from the Assessor including gaining feedback and comments about the assessments, and if additional work is required students will have the opportunity to re-submit assessments.

Students may submit assessments to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or to their individual trainers email address which will be provided upon request.

Learning Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)

To undertake many courses with CTA successfully, requires a certain level of Learning Literacy and Numeracy (LLN). It can often be difficult to identify those individuals who require additional support before training, but we endeavor to support students and where possible make ‘reasonable adjustment’ to the conditions of assessment. If required we can refer students or prospective students on to LLN support services.
