Drug and Alcohol workers have special knowledge of the impact of addictions on the lives of good people. They have skills in communication and the knowledge of the treatments necessary to set people free. They have patience. They can tell the difference between the ‘heart’ of the person and the impact of the substances, and they can inspire others to be all that they can be. Drug and Alcohol workers have the added capacity to understand the culture and needs of Indigenous people who are struggling with addiction.
Training with CTA provides the special dimension of emotional healing with this training.
CTA trainers understand the impact of generational trauma and provide tools for healing which is often the reason people turn to substance abuse in the first place.
This course is being delivered in partnership with Mount Isa Institute of TAFE.
